Save the Earth

Save the Earth

Fossil fuels burning, ice caps melting
we are the reason polar bears aren’t surviving
Nuclear radiation killing, nuclear waste on the river floating,
we are the reason turtles are mutating

Cities porous with lambent lights of bright neon green
we are the reason a star is not to be seen
Automobiles releasing gasses, factories dispensing noxious fumes in a burst
we are the reason global warming is at its worst

Abusing our power to hew forests, pushing aside whatever stands in our way
we are the reason animals feel so gray
Mountain ranges of litter, and some in the gutter
We are the reason the world is stuffier.

Tossing waste in the water, waves picking up litter
we are the reason the creatures in the deep feel so bitter
It’s time to stop pollution, to stop abusing the earth yet still live contently
Lets protect the environment be together with animals in solidarity.
