Save Me

Save me from the anger
That's building rapidly within
Save me from the pain I feel
That hides behind the grin

Save me from the evilness
That lingers right behind
Save me from the dirtiness
That others have in mind

Save me from a world
That leaves a pitted hole
Save me from the devil
The man that steals your soul

Save me from possessions
That eagerly bring greed
Save me from all hatred
That harms the heart that bleeds

Save me from myself
That I may cause no harm
Save me from those thoughts
That enlighten me with charm

Save me from these things I ask
And make me someone new
Save me from these things I ask
And trust I'll have in you
