Theme and Prompt =>

Where Without Whom
There is not
A single soul among the trees
And I
Don't know where I've gone.
- Poem by Octavio Paz

Listen to poem:

Saudade in Trees-Paz

Alone amid the milieu of trees
the forest strips me of identity,
as easily as autumn fells a leaf.
The mist of saudade pursues me,
not for lost kin,
nor for empty home,
but for the stranger
I once called 'myself',
that I once thought I knew
now poised on the brink of being, Alone!
