Saturday Morning

You wake up, and smell the warm scent of him laid next to you. How pleasant he sleeps. The man, how your hands trace the valleys of his back. Him, the man that stole your breath when your heart skipped a beat upon first glance. Funny, you said you’d wake up at 8am but it’s crazy how safety works. Turns a sleepless night into a game of hibernation, how the guards who stand before your temple rest now that he is near. The protector. Your knight in shining armor. Him; he tosses and turns and there his eyes peak open, He smiles. His hands, how soft and kind, runs through your hair. The gleams of sunlight kiss your cheek, and he follows with kisses of his own.
