Satisfying Drone of a Bee On a Summer Day
she has a lazy way about her
there is a droning that puts me almost to sleep
her steady buzzing brings my eyes to the monarch
sitting on the next marigold.
there is a peacefulness about her
she lulls me into a contented feeling
I watch her burrow into a burgundy hollyhock
They are both fuzzy
The hollyhock accepts her gladly
the droning is almost silent
I struggle to hear her
and am rewarded with a visit from a fairy
in the form of a tiny light blue butterfly
flitting and frolicking
it is more than enough to satisfy me
