Satie Miniatures

alone
     for a moment
measuring sound
frozen
       pieces
in a particular
               way

I wonder
      about myself
relax
as in childish
                  dream
revolve
    in all directions
limp
lonely
lost

then
      instantaneously
I open
        my mind
to a
       picturesque
                prelude
& respond &
                  notice
steps
     of sound

a picture
     between a
                    chord
quiet intervals
ongoing
sadness
      in
         melancholia

on hold
     calm descends
the pause
       progresses
in my minds
                 eye
in
intervals
     twixt&tween
minimal
meditations

a reverie
         of thoughts
on a swing
            back&forth
             I stay
in yesterday
          ....waiting
holding
        silence
..listen..
          to the pause
in anticipation
of
minimal miniatures
that
      haunt
            &
               dwell
