lazy, long afternoon preening sphinx-like catches a stray scent aha! dinner!... stealth-creep agonizingly slow, 'til, target in sight she springs... afterward, sated lightly licks the corners of her whiskers curls back into her no-hammock

I had a wonderful kitty growing up. When we were first married, adopted a kitten who presented us with three kittens! Have wonderful memories of a friend's cat - the divine miss "honeybuns" - buns for short - who always sat next to us when we visited. Many more memories - too many for a short comment!

Gershon, I love cats and cat poems and this is a great one! Sounds like my dear old cat Jeff. When I hustle food for him and call out "Eats", he bounds from wherever he is perched and digs in.
