Satan's Creed

When sin entered Lucifer’s heart,
the war against God he did start.
Why should angels be ruled by law
when in them could be found no flaw?

Satan offered a lawless realm
If they would help him take the helm.
A third of the angels took the bait
and were thrown out of heaven’s gate.

Against God’s Law, Old Satan fought
when through the serpent, sin he wrought.
He offered Eve a life of ease,
“Despise God’s law, do as you please.”

“Do as thou wilt, free from all guilt.”
is the creed on which Satan built
his rebel kingdom here below
as he walks on earth to and fro.

In schools today children are taught,
to rid their mind from thoughts of ought.
Follow your heart the youth are told
do as you please, be brave and bold.

Popular songs promote this creed
and Hollywood stars plant the seed.
Aleister Crowley’s evil books
guide what the industry cooks.

Sin has defiled the human heart,
So, man is doomed right from the start.
Trusting your heart can’t make you glad
but it will leave you very sad.

Satan offers freedom without law,
but that’s freedom with a flaw.
It leads to slavery to sin
and leaves you feeling hollow within.

God’s laws are like a strong guardrail,
that keeps your life from being marred.
They help to keep your life in check
So, you don’t make your life a wreck.

Don’t buy the lie that you are told,
no matter by whom it is sold.
The mess the world is in today,
is caused by living Satan’s way.

Adam and Eve learned the hard way
that disobedience does not pay.
They bought the lie and lost it all
and hid when God for them did call.

If you desire to be free,
return to God and bend your knee.
Ask Him to cleanse you from your sin
He’ll give peace and joy within.

Perfect. Many (including clergymen) believe the garden story is mere myth or allegory. Others see it as a quaint tale about eating an apple. The truth is so much more. Satan was inciting a universal rebellion against Jehovah's sovereignty. All intelligent creation was and still is being tested. The question for each of us is: will I reject independence from God and embrace his sovereignty over me?
