Sassi Punnuh

Sassi Punnuh

All are foes, dear all are foes
In vale of world, in lanes of love
Camel , camel men and brothers
O beauteous lass, O lady dove
Sea of love to death it furthers

Wind is foe, which carries with it
Punnuh's love with his footnotes
Wherest went thy Cupid, Psyche?
For thee once Who burnt the boats!
Fifth one foe is sun of gold
Which on sungold sands not sets
Sixth one foe is heavens high
Who gaze at thee with wistful eyes
Seventh foe of Sassi's Moon
Goes it once comes never soon
