Sappiness Like Syrup

SAPPINESS LIKE SYRUP fire and ice do battle in our nation politicking in a clash of thought droughts of desperation keep our havens burning shoulder blizzards frozen white, why can’t our weather get along? where’s the rain to make us strong? and warm quilts sewn with wrinkled hands? if we strive to cross the arctic freeze: will God stomp out impassioned southern fires, melt northern snow, applaud a creation of hands circling our united globe? of this i dream! snowballs flung with lighthearted smiles, fires baking apple pies, sappiness like syrup. Thank you, Andrea! We need some sappiness if not happiness :)

There I so much turmoil right now and wouldn't it be nice if it could somehow find the final verse of your poem and say, "hey, that sounds like a much better idea." Nicely done Kim.
