Sapphic Nonesense

Beware, social media's worldly platform, Blameless, guilty wannabes shower esteem, Heady headlines bathing in common manure. Knowing one’s neighbour. Selfie, groupies searching for public reason, Poetry kindled reframed and lovers bonding, Gossip transferred digital nonsense bemused. Silence youth golden. Harry, fake news vs. faker news, reminds me of my country-style childhood of chugging buckets from our wellsprings vs village kids water from taps. I'd share my living off the land, hunting and fishing exploits were no different than the village kids drunk sleeping on the bench outside the candy store. Our news had some accounts of measurable interest, albeit, is that they're true. Nowadays, we lose ourselves in the moreness of a story than the trueness of it. My compliments, Aloha!

I find Facebook to be an interesting study of humanity. Peoples attempt to put their best worst foot forward. The things they think are important often have little to no value. If you follow for long enough, you can witness some people growing and their priorities changing. Usually the amount of selfies go down as this change occurs.

Bravo, bravo Harry! I do think the world would be better off with no news. Can't they just once publish any good news or progress? NO. And people believe these talking heads? Not me! Panagiota.

It hasn't taken the place of poetry. I'm just getting my poetry legs back.

- We all need to realize that social networking communities are here to stay, considering the millions of users that they have ... some love it ... others hate it :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Great Sapphic Stanza, Harry, and all the other elements that I love in toothy poetry - this will rate highly, I'm sure! I took my first stab at it, but after 60 hits I still have not one single comment, so no false hopes with me, lol. Excellent work - blessings and best wishes, my friend! :-)

Awesome, Harry! The mind doesn't tend to think in "sapphic" meter and trying to force it can result in disaster. If I had to listen to sapphic "nonesense" all day, I would be grateful for a moment of golden silence. Great writing, my friend. Hugs, Carolyn

G'day Harry … we were discussing an issue that relates to your fine message yesterday. How can an unbiased jury be selected now for sickening crimes with all the social media - thank you Harry - Lindsay

Your last line is bliss. What happened to a bit of privacy in ones life. Not really interested in other peoples business yet some tell the world everything that's going on in their lives. Tom.

I go with Tom on this one. But I realize others Feel differently. With platforms shutting down free speech, we enter a dangerous era. Even bein online like here, we expose ourselves. Panagiota
