Santa's New Chair

You jolly old man who's travelled all night.
Come sit and rest awhile, I'm sure it will be alright.

You've distributed toys
to all those girls and boys

Now come take a seat,
       and rest your weary feet.

I'll rock you awhile and a melody sing,
You may fall asleep while the Christmas bells ring.

And when you awake
you can have a piece of cake.

And when you arise
There will be a big surprise.

Yes Santa, look to the right.
       What an amazing sight.

For sitting over there,
       Is your brand new chair.

I've been here for years,
and there's no need for tears

Now I can take a rest,
       And still serve your guest!

I can see this being a very popular favorite during the holidays Marty, especially if read to children. Great Piece. Best Wishes Always, Bill

Marty, send me some lines to add to the football poem! It's not too late; I'd like to mention more teams and didn't know which members liked football. Some of us chat about the sport from time to time. I'm at [email protected] Love, Carolyn

A delightful perspective on a chair's welcome to old St. Nick, Marty. I love it and wish you well in this amazing contest that Matt came up with! These chair speak poems are great! Having a lot of fun reading them. Aces, Marty! Love, Carolyn
