Sands of Time
Such a vast landscape there is before me
What great mystery in such a place
That I may have a sensational opportunity
To rewrite the past once lost in the sand’s face
Surely, there is greatness to be found
And wonders to discover
To this contingency, I am surely bound
As surely as I have breath and my thoughts I do cover
I walked until I could tread no more
Surely, this must be the end
My life as I had seen it before,
Visions of peril my mind did lend
For the sands of time indeed, imposed much grief
And by this perpetual silence, my heart found relief
