sand promises

his life had been exquisite
not a grain of worry in plain sight
when the sinkhole appeared
life was a beach and then he drowned

fully submerged he fell
into the void of eternal time
subsidence subsisted into
a labyrinth of subconsciousness

eventually clarity evolved
nightmares became daydreams
eclipses turned into dazzling light
as he brushed off devilish blizzards

subterranean fears polished his blight
galvanised promises of the unknown
into certainty that crises
hold the wisdom of change

fascinating choice of words, grain of worry, life was a beach and then he drowned, labyrinth of subconsciousness. I like "nightmares became daydreams". Interesting conclusion, "crises hold the wisdom of change', but sounds like wisdom hard-earned. I'm sure there's a story behind it!

Sure there is a story, the story of my life, which is so much richer because of crises and turning points. Sending you loving wishes, Kai

It will always be of benefit if we are able to learn from the loop holes, and sink holes, life holds. Very well put Kai :)

I might be misinterpreting things here Kai but it sounds like you were able to turn the hour glass around and get through that time when you were getting buried under the sheer weight and stress of things. I sense you turned negatives into positives by way of thinking - mindfulness perhaps? Just my take on what reads to me as a poem with a very positive light. Cheers - Gary
