Sanctuary

My mind in reluctance shudders me
So what I love without desire
Frets my time, and wears my hope
Until the shoe breaks soleless
And the toes scrunge mud
Justififying the urge to get away
A man who is pure can enter there
And hold the horn
Until the lightning despairs
To ever dry his tears.
I need a world where children play
And the only meaning
Is the spurt of crystal joy
Telling the soul is satisfied.
