Sanctuary
“For the departed love there is a permanent place
in the sanctum of soul”- Quote by poet
Up above the wasteland of my life in the seamless sky
the rainless cloud clumps weren’t consumed drifting.
In the desert of my heart I saw their arid shadows fly,
there you became an oasis in the dale of my yearning.
In its tranquility you drowned the dregs of my despair,
the torrents of fervid joy flowed for which I did pine.
Ripples of lure danced on your face in the beguiled air,
my senses shimmered with the cadence of moonshine.
My dreams dissolved in your visage serene splendor,
painted panorama of passion on canvas of my dawn.
My dusk spread emotive hues on your facade of fervor,
the flight of ecstasy took me where you were gone.
Desert wind couldn’t desiccate the luster of your grace,
to reach you away from illusive trail of mirage I’d stroll,
in azure night the course to your moonlit shore I’d trace
enticed by your elfin essence in the sanctuary of my soul.
