Sanctuary

Let me go/let me be/let me retreat to my sanctuary/ of thoughts so powerful they collide/past my anxious brown eyes/past the seeing blind/bending time/as there's really no end/there's really no beginning/there's really no fill in/there's really no deep end worth feeling/as I try healing/ and bringing life to the four corners of my mind/that's outright out of it's mind/practically hard to unwind/to rewind/to recite/to rewrite/to invite/to sit tight/but my mind is mine to get lost in/when I begin/crawling to my sanctum, my peace/my therapy/the place where I get back all of me

Nice work, like to see this explored again in your work. Love the imagery and kudos for experimenting! Want to see more! Will there more?

Thank you so much Jehiel and absolutely. I will be honest; I had taken about a 5-year hiatus and became unrecognizable to myself and my pen. This is me currently me getting back into the spaces of myself. I am excited to be writing again.

I like it very much. Are you aware that you have a "/" symbol at the end of every verse instead of a new line character? It is ok if you did it intentionally. ~Max

Hi Maximilian :) Thank you for reading my poem and I am glad you liked it. Yes, I also did intentionally add the "/" symbol to each line. Just wanted to explore different dynamics in crafting a poem at the time (it was poem I did for an exercise for my then poetry class).

Thanks for sharing this... Welcome to PS. Meanwhile, I welcome you with the love of God. According to the Bible's John 3:16,"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
