Sanctuary

Rest in the sanctuary
The sanctuary of stillness within cold
Frames of stained glass windows
Shining a dim light
Illuminating an altar of sacrifice
Dead trees glisten with tear drops
Falling outside the window
Cascading leaves fly inside
Beautifully melting to wax as I lie
On the altar dying for nothing
Eyes like glass shattering blind bones

Empty void of sadness playing over and over on an old muffled radio distorted
Waves move through the sanctuary walls

I'm a mannequin
Somebody paint me

Haunted dolls are gazing with eyes
Ever so cold and lifeless
Enough to slither into nightmares at dawn
Waking to this pain again
Over and over

Animating at the darkest hours
Breathing down your shoulder as you
Walk down an endless hallway into nothingness

Synthetic faces
Dead places
Hollow cases
