Sanctimonious

S eeing bad in others and not in your soul
A dding pain by accusations that are untrue
N ot able to see the real motives, the goal
C ondeming others, for what is in you
T ime is the revealer of all hidden things
I know that all things that go around come around
M ercy is what a true soul to other souls brings
O penly praising, without criticism's sound
N ever think that "Holier than Thou" will do
I dentity shows sooner or later in time
O h, that you'd ask for a heart that is new
U nderstanding that sinners ALL carry the grime

S o sanctimonious are you, forgetting that we are all sinners all saved by grace

(I fear I might not win in the contest because I did a love theme same as the poetess I was emulating. I did not want to be influenced at all, so I did not look at Teasdale's poem based on that first line until after I wrote my own. I might get marked down for doing a love poem.
