Sampaguita

dewy, white petals,
its own oblation,
its mute gratitude,
its solemn prayer.

enigmatic epitome
of quiet beauty,
it beams, blooms,
worships the sky.

ah, sampaguita,
celestial fragrance,
eternal for the
shortest while !!
