Same Old Guard

What a state this world is in, here integrity seems a mortal sin; in Washington they play the dirty game Obama's change is the same old thing. Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Monsanto too, lust for power breeds only woes; upon Adam lay they burdensome load, they only want what's good for you. Back in India they plant genetic seeds just tryin' to feed their family's needs, round-up-ready they plant their plot reap bitter harvest, everything lost. Corporations lust for the bottom line don't give a damn for humankind. Pollute the earth with toxic gas, the water and land by their bloated ass. Carrion scum, they'll have their reward Canibals they, feast off the poor. Say sickly farmers shouldn't whine, don't give a damn for humankind. 'gainst those that labor & toil til sore, abuse vast power, narcissistic whores. There's a moral to this tale so sad, these Corrupter's sowing seeds bad. Wont be long 'fore they get their due I'll be right glad, how about you...

I'm still waiting for the "change" in Washington, too. Sadly, I think the president is well-intentioned but there is just too much corruption among the politicos and the corporations for Obama's efforts to produce the type of change we were promised. Excellent writing! Love, Carolyn

Ryan, I understand your displeasure, if you have read any of my work you would agree "I get it" you have written an energized verse here.... your last line asks the reader to participate? may I without appearing to show any disrespect? not my wish!!....I have a personal rule, I only will bring righteous weight upon those who hurt my family or friends...others I pray they see the light, but will remain cautious so they don't hurt me (see previous rule) I wish no harm to others, only love...Jim
