Same Country -New Horizons

All that was lost is now forgotten, the pain of the stagnant past fading

A new world, a new city, quite familiar yet different and stronger

A more spiritual people with a similar accent, yet more caring

Whereas before I'd look at the masses and feel challenged

Now the self-contained South Australians have restored my faith

in the country as a whole.

Are the people so wonderful because orchards are plentiful

Is it because the country's best vineyards are all flourishing here

With such a vast distance between Metropolitan cities ,television
glues the links.

I like this City with its dinky masonry and many steeples , I like this
State with its compassionate people.
