Same As It Ever Was
The darkness of the night burned into the morning
then doused with light which I slept thru its wake.
Daylight spoke thru its rays of sun scattered about
A new day became worshipful by early settlers on the lake.
An empty sky once relished with glitter and sparkles
guested stars packed up camp and have now faded
Jealously is shown on the face of the moon
its throne to rule, now removed and traded.
Morning dew is warmed by the suns overlay
enticing the undergrowth to stir and rise
Time revolves regenerating the stage
a new awakening now settles under the skies
