For contest Golden Age of Music by Oliver McKeithan
Time is short but feelings are strong
Of course you’re singing our song
First cranberry kiss sets me on fire
Making my knees weak as I perspire
Oh you send me on a long journey
With the sun blazing the world turning
Despite the times lack of civil rights
Everything is fine in your arms tonight
Your pearly smile plays me like a harp
Words you weave now are amethyst art
You whisper in my ear that I have your heart
Marry me dear and we shall never part
You send me to the moon and far beyond
Like a flower I bloom in your sunny charm
And the red hickey you leave on my neck
Is like jewelry I hide least my folks be upset
You thrill me honest you do
Just like the song says it’s true
And I loved you from the very first look
Heavenly sounds of us sang by Sam Cooke
