Salute To My Grandson

**A SALUTE TO MY GRANDSON**

Edward,you grow more beautiful
to Nana, each day!
Now at Saint Mary's High School,
Your education continues in a great,
Christian and traditional, awesome,
American way.

This is the dawn of a new phase of
your life.
I can already see you with children
and a beautiful wife!
How proud your parents must be
of you.
And Edward, they have always been
there for you..amazingly true.

How blessed you are...to have such a
loving home.
With your sweet dog, Biscuit, at your side,
never to roam.
Nana misses the little boy she knew.
But, golly, dear Edward, I see a bright,
shining star in you!

Love you,
Nana

                   Dedicated to Edward.

Hello Panagiota, yes it won't be long and he will find a woman to marry and then have a family. Children grow up fast. Hugs xx

Thank you, Tom. We are proud of him, and putting into words meant a lot to me. I know others here who have grandchilren. They know what I mean. I put my soul in my poems and that is the best part. I really appreciate feelings in poems. Forms do not get to me nor being cute. I like reality poetry. Feeling better today! Pangie

What a way to send him off to high school! You will miss the little boy but remember that the shining star will continue to rise. You are here to witness this new time of his life. The poem is a wonderful "salute" from Nana to Edward.
