Salute from a small blue world o vast cosmos

silent cathedral of burning stars
receive this whisper
from a small blue world.
we are the fragile voices of earth,
children of oceans and wandering winds,
our cities glow like scattered constellations
trying to imitate your ancient light.

we are imperfect—
we quarrel, we fall, we forget the sky,
yet every night we raise our eyes again
like seeds reaching for dawn.

o distant travelers of the galaxies,
if your paths ever cross our fragile orbit,
know that beneath these clouds
live hearts that wonder as you do.

we write our greetings in music and fire,
in poems launched toward your silence.
if you hear this humble ode, remember:
in the vast choir of stars,
earth is a small voice learning to sing.
