Salt Water Taffy

Salt-water taffy is Atlantic City’s treat.
Known to many, it is both chewy and sweet.
This is an ever-popular type of candy
that has been around for over a century.

Pieces are wrapped in waxed paper individually,
and contained in boxes with varied weight and quantity.
Being something any visitor savors,
it comes in a great variety of flavors.
Most of the stores selling salt-water taffy
can be found along the boardwalk easily.

If you are yet to sample this regional treat,
your visit to Atlantic City is not complete.

On an oregon beach boardwalk we visited when seeing our son graduate from law school back there, he took us to a taffy factory. It was really fun. There were over 200 flavors for sale and I ate around 40 of them riding home!!!
