Salt Spray
Salt Spray
drops of tiny clear but bitter salt
appear the result of my insult
sprinkle spraying down from your twin suns
this painful evening it runs and runs
it runs away from the dying light
it’s affecting your red tearful sight
flowing down your frowning freckled face
you need my warm husband love embrace
words aired in regretful past anger
now become our love’s heavy anchor
my words now need to be the first aid
and apply a heartfelt wound band aid
salt spray may well birth love’s miscarriage
salt corrosion ruins a marriage
