Sally the Princess
Sally was a princess chosen for the throne
but riders in the night took her out of sight now she's gone
in the darkness they took her as a thief
there lay frozen in time a reminder to shine
their were kings and queens & guilotines
dragons brewing in the mist a hero to quench
there was a fight chosen for the crown so sound the alarm
fading in the background the visual
In the light of the midnight moon,
I saw a sight so cold,
A woman so fair,
With raven hair,
Her eyes knew visions untold,
She took a tallsman from 'round her neck,
And sang an ancient vow,
Casting the charm aside,
She let out a cry
For wings she did grow
And into the night,
She took flight,
'Cause a woman she was no more.
