Safety and Warmth
Safety and Warmth
I don’t often talk or share my feelings.
But when I do, it’s to You, Jesus my Saviour.
I pray through the night and the dark lonely hours.
My Saviour is with me keeping me safe.
Storms rage outside, the wind howling.
Torrential rain sweeping against the window panes.
My dog at my side, blanket wrapped around me.
A candle lit to chase away the shadows.
Lightning, lighting the mirror against the wall.
Comfort and warmth fill me.
A cool breeze blows the hair off my face.
Thunder crashing and rolling around the sky.
Jesus You are our Priest most High.
Thank You for saving me and keeping me safe.
For the strength you give me to face the day.
Thank You Jesus for making me, me!
I blow out the candle and plump up the pillow.
The storm is still raging but farther away.
Its time to rest easy and sleep till the day.
Jesus my Saviour will rock me and say,
Husha-by baby Daddy is here.
Sleep tight, sweet dreams, Godbless my friend
My armour surrounds me and safely I sleep
Dreaming of meadows where sunshine beats down
The shadows are deep under the trees and the wind blows gently
May God keep you, protect you and bless you this week!
As Jesus guides us and holds us each day
As we seek to be more like Him in every way.
Amen!

Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
