Safely Fall

Hard, cold, lonely
Rock bottom
No way to
Climb back up
Cry, and break
Down
Looking around
No one followed
Too late to survive?
Any way to climb?
My voice echoes
Returning back to
Torment my thoughts
The loud of silence
Whispers
Tears won’t come
Reality won’t leave
Fears won’t reveal
An exit
Drop down
Defeated, broken
I pray, forgive
I pray, not to relive
Shadows slowly abound
Light gradually slides in
Still can’t climb
Pray, empty all
A rope falls
Staring up, no face
Just rope
I pray, I thank
I pray, I climb
To safety
Wear my broken paths
On my heart
Wear my cleansed
Heart on my sleeve
For all to see
