Safe Keeping
Standing
firm but aghast,
the only way forward
was for him to vote his conscience.
Now, 'Dame the torpedoes' ,
full speed ahead'
was due.
Ocean
tides will subside,
but until she decides,
continue to resist the surge.
If we are fortunate,
we get to live
and thrive.
We must
believe our cause;
have faith and never quit.
Only then shall we find success
or stop the enemy.
Trust in The Lord,
not self.
Tyrants
and dictators
appear in many stripes.
Assume nothing; prove everything.
Given a bequeathed trust,
we have sacred
duties.
