Safe Haven

You take my hand
and pull me along,
off the rocks, onto the sand,
with you nothing is wrong.

I follow you out of the storm,
into the sun, a breeze dancing across my skin.
In that moment, I'm no longer torn,
no longer fighting myself within.

We walk together as two,
my shadow is no longer a cursed raven,
my world has changed its point of view,
all because you are my safe haven.
