Safe Again
Alone on a wide long pathway,
Wishing for someone to hold.
She felt the road quake around her,
As it engulfed her wholly.
She felt weak from her struggles,
Her legs were being swallowed up;
Then it hugged her like a blanket,
And in its warm embrace,
She succumbed, only to feel safe again.
