Sadness
Sad songs are played on the radio,
I spend my weekends alone.
Stormbringer screamed outside the window
And there was a deathly silence.
I like to just go somewhere,
And I love the comfort of my car.
Driving past advertising posters
I see a blurry stream of people.
I just keep believing,
That one day I will meet love,
I'm even willing to take losses
Just to fall in love again.
I gave myself all to my beloved,
But I didn't get anything in return.
I'll grip the steering wheel tighter,
And I will leave the memories of captivity.
No one could recognize me,
Although I was an open book.
It's a pity we can't take it all back,
I'd fix it in a heartbeat.
Music is playing loudly in the car,
It will numb the pain of loss.
I will go to the sea where the gulls fly,
And I will close the door to the past there.
