sad truth
Your words bleed pain, a soul laid bare,
A heart shattered, faith lost in despair.
The sky, once a canvas of hope and might,
Now empty, hollow, devoid of light.
The stories we were told, of a Superman's grace,
Crumble like dust, leaving only a hollow space.
The clay of creation, now a fragile, broken thing,
A reminder of promises unkept, and a love that's missing.
You asked, and He gave, or so it seemed,
But humility was a test, and you were not deemed worthy to be redeemed.
The slaps on the cheek, the blows that kept on coming,
A masochistic devotion, a love that's been forsaken.
The brothers taken, the angel that broke free,
A trail of heartbreak, a soul left to beg and plea.
Where was the Father, the Brother, the Friend?
Echoes of silence, a hollow, resounding end.
The sky is empty, a void that cannot be filled,
A reflection of a heart that's been brutally killed.
You've given up, and so have I,
On the empty sky, and the God that never replied.
