Sad Songs

Sad sorrowful songs reduce me to tears
Bringing back memories made o'er the years
Of the emergence of my first romance
That ended because of someone's askance.

I moved on and found my only true love
Sent from the matchmaker in sky above
We have had our share of sorrow and pain
Sad songs remind me of those times again.

Tears are souvenirs of sadness it's true 
Yet those tears can be of aid when we're blue
Music is the language of worldwide hearts
And sad songs pull heartstrings soon as they start.

Listening to songs sung to a sad tune
Tears fall as I slow dance around the room
Song and dance have an enchanted effect
Helping the heart and the mind reconnect.
