Sad Songs
I want to play a sad song today
To drive the sadness all away
I know each word each syllable
To make it all just go to Hell
For I know each time I’ve lost
There has been to me a cost
For smiles can be so far away
When they’re denied and will not stay
But I want to push it all away
And look forward to a brighter day
When my search for happiness
Will find a home and I’ll be blessed.
