Sad December

I see all the smiles
The lights on the tree
But I'm swimming in darkness
A sad December for me
I can't feel the joy
The warmth in the air
I'm hollow and empty
A cold frozen lair
I feel heavy and burdened
Like an anchor that sinks
Falling to bottom
On a chain of weak links
But noone will know this
I put on a great show
I'll play the good hostess
I'll beam and I'll glow
I'll be bouncy and gleeful
And noone will see
That inside I'm crumbling
A sad December for me
