Sacrifices of the Heart

If I could walk the world to pick every rose that smiled with the brightest scarlet and kissed with the softest petals and lay them at your feet because your favorite color was red, I would If I could swim across the seas through the wry of waves and under the anger of storms against every sting of salt for one moment with you in my arms because you needed someone to cry against, I would If I could reach above into the Heavens and grab an angel by the ankles to drag her beneath the clouds and strip her of her wings because you wanted to fly, I would If I could extend my hands and reach into the night sky to pick out the brightest star and give it to you because you were in darkness, I would If I could give you every smile the warmth of every hug and every sweetest kiss every moment of my life because you were lonely, I would If could rip out my heart whole with its every drop of blood and everlasting love; with its every shard of dreams and every breath of life because I broke yours, I would.
