Sacrifice
Hands dangle in sacrificial gesture
Head lowered
A betrayal of my heart
Seeking to conceal hostility with gracious words
Yet shards of glass spill from my mouth
Words of misdirected fury
Sharp and poignant
Falling towards a stagnant life
