Sacred Stones

Preparing For the Sweat Lodge II--Sacred Stones.

When the pyre on which the rocks
Were placed met ground,
The stones had gone white.

A native told me that the stones
Weighed less after being bathed
In the sacrificial fire.

He said,
"They gave
Of Themselves."
