Ruth
The faith it takes to leave
All you’ve ever perceived.
The grace to go with one
Who already lost their son.
The loyalty to continue
Until the very end
Demonstrates to all
What it means to be a friend
God rewards the humble
God rewards the meek
God rewarded Ruth
And gave her more than she did seek.
