Rusted Deserted

Ruby red was the color of us
Us, cruising happily the avenues of love
Shimmering, humming together in the glorious sun
Time,oh,the devil time, cast its evil eye on me
Energy and sheen dwindled, couldn't match her step anymore
Dazzling blue beast came thundering and stole her heart

Down the road, blue and her, went each day
Envious and heartbroken, I watched them roll away
Soon, she left me in the junkyard without a word
Exes have no place in love's nest, I've heard
Rust and layers of dust claimed my skin all over
Tortured and torn by rain, hail, storm and scorn
Exhausted,hollow,lonely and forlorn
Death is the darling I eagerly wait for now
