Rush the Kiss and Rush Away

it's getting so hard to act human.
i feel more stoned than ever before.
so heavy and mundane are the days
left fermented in my bed.

it would be wise to tie my wrists
to the telephone poles.

soon my soul will fly away
and you have got to make me stay.

it is always me who cracks first.
i rush the kiss
then rush away.

so follow me into the woods
far enough inside
to find the cement field.

abandoned like the love of my past.
