Running Up That Hill
It takes a real effort
puffing and panting all the way
up that hill, no short walk
every stride feels it just like clay
Don't blame God, no I don't
he chose my life just like this
many have it worse than me
at least I've that lingering kiss
But is this fate or luck?
your hurt goes real deep
wish you could understand
the way to you's real steep
If only that yes could change
think of the trouble I did cause
you fell for me at first, yes you did
I knew it in your eyes before that pause
Running up that hill
I'm worth it yes I am!
feel that experience again
you know that healing balm
(This is writing in memory of one of my fav music stars of the 70s and beyond, based this on a fav song ' Running Up That Hill'.
Here's the video of Kate Bush's ' Running Up That Hill', for those of you that haven't hear of this lovely lady who hit no 1 with 'Wuthering Heights' and had hits with other great songs in the years '75-88' but has recorded music even up to recent years.)
