Running Option

The salty sweat dripping into my dry mouth My heart's beat in my ears Head throbbing to the same beat My whole body is running Sprinting away from my world That was falling apart anyway Turning back will never be an option I must keep going and not stopping Otherwise the world I left might catch up Numbness from running overthrows my thoughts Which is what I want If my past pain catches up there will be only one option That I try not to think about I'll just keep running until maybe My old world will repair itself, and I can be happy But until then I will keep running To some unknown destination Where maybe light will come into the dark world I left behind
