Notes About The Poem

Running On poem by Max Burchett

Running On by Max Burchett

by Max Burchett

As fast as I can
Running on, on and on
With hope this carries me to
Where I want to go
Higher and higher with you.

As time goes by,
Finding wings to fly,
Carried on the wind
By the love I find
In your arms, such a high.

Singing my songs as I go on
This journey to the end.
With heart and mind
As the compass to guide,
I keep running on.

Somehow I will get through,
It is just what we all must do.
I always thought I knew
Where I was going to
Journey on, me and you.

Still running there,
Following the bright star
Seen shining in the east,
Until the time
We shall be released.
