Running Cold

Ran cold against your word. Leaving what was best left to be allured. Hot against my skin. Burning from the inside. Can't figure out, where it ends. Where it starts to begin. Cannot say that we never tried. Running cold with your heart. Tucked behind your chest, waiting for it to tear you apart. I decided to not take care. In showing how I feel. I’m less of a criminal if I pay the fare. And keep things surreal. Stopped dead in your tracks. Not listening to the bold faced facts. You say you cannot forget. The way that you sought to reject. But you’re too late, I’m already set. To forgive and never to reflect. It’s easier this way, trust me. Without us, you’ll have more tranquility.
