Running and Looking

I am running
I have been running for
	A long time
Perhaps all my life.
Running to or from
	I don't know
But running, running, running
	Just the same.

Also, I am looking.
I can't imagine why
	I should look:
I've found it several times.
Rather, it found me
	So I think.
I know it when and then
And never know it now:
	Frus-tra-tion!

It keeps leaving
Or I keep leaving it
	Hard to say
Or it and I get parted
But mostly I think that
	It leaves me
And I can't help wondering
Why that should be,
	Why it leaves?
